This event is part of BÉNÉFIQ, an event organized by the Institute of Nutrition and Functional Foods (INAF). 

This course offers a comprehensive 2.5-day program for those who are developing in-house food safety programs and want to upgrade their knowledge of the science and technology of cleaning and sanitizing; food allergen control; sanitary facilities and equipment design; food defense; pest control; and environmental monitoring.

This event will take place at the Kansas Star Event Center.

We are pleased to announce the upcoming 2023 IFT-EFFoST international nonthermal processing workshop and short course. The event will be held on October 15, 16, and 17, 2023, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. It serves as a forum to discuss the latest developments, innovations, and challenges in implementing the application of sustainable circular economy concepts through innovative nonthermal processing technologies. The workshop and short course will bring participants from academia, equipment providers, food processors and regulators together for sharing research progress and discuss how various nonthermal processing technologies help to conserve natural resources (energy, water, reduce waste), improve food safety, preserve health, and promote practices to meet sustainable development goals

The keynote speaker will be Corey Geiger speaking on "Dairy is Making Moves: On-Farm, In Exports and at Retail."

The Dairy Practices Annual Conference is a place where dairy industry, academic, and regulatory professionals gather together to learn dairy food safety best practices and expand their network of dairy industry expertise through participation in technical sessions, task force sessions, vendor visits. Content will cover industry trends and food safety needs beginning on-farm, through processing to consumer. Task Force working sessions cover Farm & Buildings, Plant Equipment & Procedures, Laboratory & Quality Control Procedures, Regulatory Issues & Food Safety, Milking Systems & Procedures and Small Ruminants. Allied vendors will also display tools and technologies for the industry to use.

Preconference educational workshops being offered on November 7th. They will cover:
Environmental Monitoring & Sanitation Controls, Preventative Maintenance Best Practices for Pumps, Valves, Gaskets, and Heat Exchangers and Automated Milking Systems & Technology.

The remainder of the Conference and Annual Business Meeting begins at 8:00 a.m. November 8th and ends on November 9th at 4:30 p.m. A post conference tour is also offered beginning at 5:30 p.m.

2023 Call for Abstracts
Submit an abstract for APHA 2023, taking place in Atlanta on Nov. 12-15, 2023. Submissions related to all areas of public health are welcome but we encourage abstracts related to the 2023 meeting theme, "Creating the Healthiest Nation: Overcoming Social and Ethical Challenges."
