The Food Safety Department of Dubai Municipality organizes the Dubai International Food Safety Conference and Exhibition. This is one of the biggest food safety events in the world and the annual gathering features scientific sessions and symposia, workshops, poster presentations, and special programs tailored for food regulators, food industry professionals, researchers, and students. Over 3,500 delegates from across the globe are expected to attend the conference in 2024, representing various stakeholders including the food industry, universities and research organizations, laboratories, training providers, certification bodies, technology service provider,s and regulatory agencies. The meeting provides a unique platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and developing innovative solutions to ensure the future of safe and sustainable food systems.

In the past 18 years, the Dubai International Food Safety Conference has achieved exceptional success, further reinforcing its position as a leading global platform for exchanging experiences, knowledge and innovations all of which are essential to advance food safety and reduce the burden of foodborne illnesses. The conference will feature symposia, workshops, and an exhibition all geared toward exploring various drivers shaping the future of food safety.

The conference is organized in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), International Association for Food Protection (IAFP), National Environmental Health Association (NEHA), International Federation of Environmental Health (IFEH), International Commission on Microbiological Specifications for Foods (ICMSF), International Union for Food Science and Technology (IUFoST), Global Food Regulatory Society (GFoRSS) and International Association for Supply Chain Safety (ENFIT).
