International Association for Food Protection Offers Open Access to Webinars During June 2023
Wednesday, May 24, 2023
Des Moines, Iowa – World Food Safety Day is celebrated on June 7 every year to encourage producers, consumers, and governments to acknowledge the mutual responsibility of food safety. The World Health Organization (WHO) and the Food & Agriculture Organization (FAO) designated this day together in 2018. The day aims to increase awareness about food safety and minimize health concerns and risks posed by foodborne diseases.
In recognition of World Food Safety Day, the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP) will provide open access from June 1–30, 2023, to all recorded webinars in the IAFP archives for non-Members. This unique opportunity will allow non-Members to benefit for 30 days from IAFP’s informative and educational webinars led by experts in their respective fields. IAFP non-Members can browse the webinar archives on the IAFP website (www.foodprotection.org), where more than 100 webinars dating back to 2009 are located (log-in not required).
One of the many benefits of IAFP Membership is access to the Association’s free webinars, which are sponsored by the IAFP Foundation. Webinar topics typically focus on new methods, products, or tools to share with the food safety community and are submitted by committees, IAFP Members, organizations, IAFP’s 31 Professional Development Groups (PDGs), and IAFP Affiliates.
