IAFP is Seeking a Scientific Co-Editor for JFP

Des Moines, Iowa - The International Association for Food Protection is seeking a Scientific Co-Editor for the Journal of Food Protection (JFP), beginning January 1, 2015.
The duties and responsibility for this position include: working closely with the IAFP Editorial Staff and other Scientific Co-Editors to manage the peer-review process of submitted manuscripts for publication in JFP; and serving as an intermediary between manuscript reviewers and authors by: 1) assigning reviewers for submitted manuscripts, 2) evaluating reviewers’ comments, 3) determining the scientific acceptability of manuscripts, and 4) conducting timely communication with authors, reviewers and IAFP staff. This position will also make decisions on the acceptance/rejection of manuscripts in accordance with the policy for evaluation of manuscripts submitted for publication in association journals. The JFP Scientific Co-Editor reports to the JFP Management Committee and the IAFP Executive Board.
