Alejandro Mazzotta Assumes Presidency of the International Association for Food Protection

Des Moines, Iowa - Dr. Alejandro Mazzotta assumed the presidency of the International Association for Food Protection at the conclusion of IAFP 2015 in Portland, Oregon.
President Alejandro Mazzotta is Vice President, Global Quality, Food Safety & Regulatory Affairs for Chobani, LLC in New York, NY. Prior to his current position, he served as Senior Director of Global Food Safety with Campbell Soup Company in Camden, New Jersey.
Since joining IAFP in 1999, Dr. Mazzotta has been committed to helping advance the goals of the association, participating in Professional Development Group (PDG) activities and volunteering on various committees, including the Awards Committee; Black Pearl Award Selection Committee;Journal of Food Protection (JFP) Management Committee; and Developing Scientist Awards Committee. Dr. Mazzotta has served a total of seven years on the IAFP Program Committee, including as Chair in 2012.
A native of Argentina, Dr. Mazzotta earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Buenos Aires and holds a Ph.D. from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
